Legal declarations are among the most important tools used to establish rights and regulate obligations between individuals and entities, whether in financial, family, real estate, or commercial matters. A declaration constitutes an explicit acknowledgment by its issuer of a specific right or obligation, which helps to prevent or resolve disputes. The types of declarations vary depending on their purpose and the field in which they are used, whether before official authorities or in private transactions.

Types of Declarations

• Financial Declaration (Debt or Repayment Acknowledgment):
  A written acknowledgment of a debt or financial obligation owed to another person or entity. It serves as strong evidence in case of a dispute regarding repayment.
• Ownership Declaration (Acknowledgment of Real Right):
  Acknowledges a person’s ownership of real estate or movable property, such as declarations of sale, donation, or relinquishment of rights.
• Family Rights Declaration (Acknowledgment of Lineage or Alimony):
  Includes a father’s acknowledgment of his children, acknowledgment of alimony obligations, or any family-related rights, often used in Sharia courts.
• Employment Declaration (Acknowledgment of Employee Rights):
  Used in employment settings, such as an employer’s acknowledgment of paying an employee’s dues, or an employee’s acknowledgment of receiving payments or documents.
• Criminal Declaration (Discharge or Waiver Declaration):
  Issued before security or judicial authorities, either as a declaration of release from criminal liability or a waiver of a penal right.
• Commercial Declaration (Acknowledgment of Dealings or Commitments):
  Includes various acknowledgments relevant to business or commercial dealings.
